A disaster does not only destroy walls. It breaks people’s bearings, separates families and can erase years of effort in a single night. It is precisely in Guinea’s disaster-affected areas that FOHAD’s commitment takes on its full meaning.
For FOHAD, rebuilding does not simply mean putting walls back up. It means giving a wounded community a place to gather, reflect and begin again – whether restoring a neighbourhood after a disaster or rebuilding a mosque at the heart of community life. Every reconstruction project is an act of solidarity that tells those who have lost everything: you are not alone, and tomorrow is being built here, with you.
This work is part of FOHAD’s long-term vision: reconstruction is not treated as a one-off emergency response, but as an investment in the dignity and lasting resilience of Guinean communities.
